Mariana & Jeff's Engagement (Page 1)

Touring Colorado

Jeff and Mariana were off to Colorado in late October. Jeff went out five days earlier on work assignment at Ft. Collins, north of Denver. Mariana flew out on Friday the 20th to join him. Off they went to Vail, Colorado, to join Jeff's parents. Fortunately, Jeff rented a four-wheel drive vehicle because an unusually early snow storm hit the mountains, making driving an memorable experience. They finally completed the normally two-hour drive in a little over three.

In spite of the snow, Jeff and Mariana were able to do a little touring of the mountain area. In addition to downtown Vail, one trip was out I-70, west towards Glenwood Springs. This section of I-70 is probably one of the most scenic portions of the interstate system. Their other trip was south, up to Leadville, CO, which bills itself as the highest city in the United States.
