Gwen & Danny New Bern, NC

A very special part of our 2008 Grand Circle through the Southeast was a visit to New Bern, North Carolina, to meet Dave's niece, Gwen. We had a wonderful time getting to know each other and trading a few family stories. We had already met Gwen's husband, Dan, and her daughter, Leigh-Ann, August, 2007, when they visited us in San Diego when Leigh-Ann was moving back east. On this trip we also got to meet Leigh-Ann's son, Jackson.

On the right is a snapshot of Leigh-Ann posing with us in our backyard when she and Danny visited us last August. She had just received her degree in photography from the Art Academy in Berkley, and her dad was helping her move back home. Leigh-Ann, by the way, is expecting a baby girl August 8. Jackson already has her name picked out!
