Argentina! - Page 2

We spent the first three days exploring Cipolletti and neighboring Nuequen, revisiting many of Mariana's childhood places. It was good seeing all of those places which hold so many childhood memories for her.

The Lake

Angel and Gloria's good friends, Aron and Olga, invited us out to their weekend home on the lake where Aron demonstrated his skills on the grill by preparing another asado. Also fantastico. Aron admitted he has a dark side. Unlike the traditionalists, he does not use wood coals; he has a gas grill! Gasp! He and Angel apparently have endless debates on the merits of one over the other.

But there was another "dark side" that I observed. I thought he was an OK guy until I watched him pour himself a beer. He added a splash of Fanta orange drink to the glass of beer! Such a waste of good beer! That's actually a fairly common way to drink one's beer in Argentina.
